ScratchTeacherAccountCaptureWith a Scratch Teacher Account students no longer need email addresses in order to have their own Scratch accounts. Saving, sharing, and uploading of projects to the class Scratch Studios is so easy now!

We really enjoyed alpha-testing a Scratch Teacher Account last spring.  Our students found that saving, sharing, and adding their best projects to our Introduction to Scratch Studio, as well as to our Google CS First Storytelling and Music & Sound  Scratch Studios, was very simple.  We saved some time at the end of each meeting for students to present a Studio project and answer questions about how (and why) it was coded.  This sharing became the highlight of the day!

Scratch Studio Presentation – 3/21/2016

A Scratch Hour of Code

Follow these directions:

  1. Open the Scratch Editor, login with your jvstudent username and password, and then return to this page by clicking on the tab at the top of the browser.
  2. Open Design a Greeting Card to see the tutorial. This tutorial is for a Valentine’s Day card, but you can change it to make a card for any occasion.
  3. Complete the project by using the tabs to navigate between the tutorial and the work area.
  4. When you are done, name your file, make sure that you are logged in to Scratch with your jvstudent username, and click “Share” if you want to share the project with our Computer Club members. You may also add the project to our Scratch Studio if you wish.
